Walker Cunnington Architects are delighted to have received planning and listed building consent for their designs for an extension to Redfern's Cottage, Uttoxeter for the Museum of Uttoxeter Life.  We have been working with the museum for most of 2014 to produce a Conservation Management Plan and Feasibility Study as part of an HLF funded project to transform the visitor experience.  Redfern's Cottage represents an important survival of part of an early 17th century timber framed cottage on Carter Street, Uttoxeter.  The proposals will improve visitor access, presentation and appreciation of the heritage asset together with an extension to provide additional accommodation and facilities to further enhance the work of the museum for the benefit of the local and wider community.
