As part of our framework agreement with English Heritage, we carried out a comprehensive condition survey of Marble Hill House together with all the buildings and structures in the grounds which included the Estate Offices, two Lodges, the Coach House, Grotto and Ice House. The works included completely scaffolding the main house in a single operation incorporating a temporary roof canopy and sheeted sides thus providing weather protection allowing works to proceed with minimal interruption during the winter months.

The main priority was to carry out necessary repair works to the external fabric of the building making it weather tight. This work included roof repairs (including lead flashings and weatherings), repairs and alterations to the rainwater goods, repairs to cracks and other damaged brickwork and pointing, repairs to the stucco, and repairs to the windows and doors. In addition existing mechanical and electrical services were brought up to current standards providing safe access to and working conditions within service areas together with some internal fabric repairs.
