As part of an exciting larger scheme to regenerate Little Kelham, the heartland of Sheffield's industrial heritage, we worked with award winning developers Citu, to conserve and adapt the redundant and dilapidated Grade II* listed Green Lane Works. Its critical condition meant it was listed on the Historic England Heritage At Risk register, with major structural issues including a worrying lean to the clockwork!

To bring this important landmark back to its former glory we first needed to understand its past. Through detailed survey and archive research we pealed back the many layers of construction and alteration. From this understand we formed a scheme of careful repair and imaginative adaption to form a vibrant mix of uses includes a bar, restaurant, creative workspace, and homes.

The scheme forms a significant part of Kelham Island, which was awarded the Academy of Urbanism Award for UK's Greatest Neighbourhood 2018. We are proud Sheffield's industrial heritage and proud to be part of this exciting regeneration project, combining grass roots heritage in a re-envisioned future for the area.
