The conservation and development of an 18C townhouse (Grade II* listed) by BPT Heritage Trust of Lincolnshire. The building is noted as Lincolnshire’s first private bank of William Garfit II (1700-81) and has been derelict since the 1980′s and had fallen into critical condition, reflected by its listing on the Buildings at Risk Register.

Run as a two phase redevelopment project, with initial urgent repairs and later full repairs including the development of new outbuildings. A complex package of funders were co-ordinated, including English Heritage, Heritage Lottery Fund, Architectural Heritage Fund and Boston Borough Council. We also ran a series of local events aiming to inform and involve the local community. The finished building is to be a health & community support centre with start-up incubator units in the new outbuildings. It is envisaged that the large rear garden will become a much needed public green space for the local community.
